How the lock works

What “stays active” means.

If your subscription lapses — through cancellation, an unrectified payment failure, or any other gap in active paid status — your cohort lock ends. Coming back later means joining at the price of whatever cohort is open at that point.

We’ve kept this rule simple and honest. The lifetime and five-year locks are real, and they’re our largest thank-you to the riders who stay with us. The continuity requirement is what lets us keep those locks real for the riders they were meant for.

First 2,500 riders. When those places are filled, the price moves to Early Rider. Nothing hidden — you'll see the cohort change here when it happens.

The trial

Thirty days free, then you decide.

Apple requires a payment method when you start a subscription trial, so you'll be asked for one at sign-up. You won't be charged until day 30. If you cancel before day 30, you pay nothing.

Cancelling is done in your Apple subscriptions — the same place you manage every other App Store subscription. Not buried in the app. Not a phone call. Not an email we delay answering.

Some fair questions

Can I cancel any time?

Yes, from your iPhone's subscription settings, at any time.

What happens when my subscription renews?

It renews at your locked price for your cohort and billing frequency. The cards above show what each cohort pays.

Can I switch between monthly and annual?

Yes. You can change billing frequency from your iPhone's subscription settings. Switching within the same cohort doesn't affect your lock — a Founder paying £1 a month stays a Founder if they switch to £10 a year, and vice versa. The lock attaches to the cohort, not to the billing frequency.

What if you raise prices later?

The standard £25 price is what Rider Vault charges once introductory cohorts are filled. If that changes in future, everyone already locked into a Founder or Early Rider cohort stays at their cohort price — that's the point of the lock.

Do I need a credit card for the trial?

Apple requires a payment method at sign-up for subscription trials. We don't see your card details — Apple handles billing.

What devices does it work on?

iPhone, at launch. Android is on the roadmap but not yet dated.
